A Magyar Szemiotikai Társaság és az MTA Szemiotikai Munkabizottsága fontosnak tartja Charles Sanders Peirce (1839-1914) amerikai filozófus és szemiotikus műveinek és a róla szóló írásoknak szélesebb szakmai körökben való megismertetését. Ezért – megemlékezve halálának századik évfordulójáról – ezúton közzéteszünk egy válogatott bibliográfiát, amelyet időnként frissíteni és bővíteni fogunk.

1. Peirce, Charles S. (1931-1958) Collected Papers of C. S. Peirce. Edited by Charles Hartshorne, Paul Weiss, Cambridge Mass.: Belknap Press of Harvard University Press. (1931-1958) A válogatott művek e kiadásának van nemzetközileg elfogadott idézési módja: CP jelzéssel és az azt követő kötetszámmal, amelyet azután a hivatkozott kötet oldalszámai követnek – például: CP x.yyy vagy x:yyy.
Ez az első kiadás az MTA könyvtárában megtalálható.
2. The Writings of Charles Sanders Peirce. A Chronological Edition. Edited by Edward C. Moore, Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1982-2014. Ez a kiadás már teljesen megfelel a tudományos elvárásoknak. A kötetek elsősorban a fontos szemiotikai, logikai és filozófiai tanulmányokat, töredékeket tartalmazzák. De nem találhatók meg bennük például a matematikai művek, amelyeket külön adtak ki (e mű köteteinek bibliográfiai adatait lásd a Commens Dictionary forrásai között). Az MTA Könyvtár és Információs Központba eddig az első hat kötet érkezett be. A harminc kötetre tervezett sorozatból eddig nyolc jelent meg.
